What to expect

Focus on improving body composition, preventing injuries, and aerobic conditioning.

Focus on increasing force output and transitioning into anaerobic conditioning.

Focus on improving speed, power, and game-specific conditioning.
Monday: Field Speed + Conditioning
Begin the session by improving your sprinting technique, transition into plyometrics to get explosive, before hitting top speed. Finish the session with an interval-style run to improve your fitness.
Tuesday: Upper body + conditioning
After preventing injuries and activating your nervous system, work through the force-velocity curve to get explosive. Finish the session with hypertrophy and a quick maximal effort conditioning movement.
Wednesday: Lower body
You will start this workout with plyometrics before transitioning into maximal force movements. This will increase your lower body strength ready for the season ahead.
Friday: Field speed & power
Similar to Monday’s session but instead of conditioning you will focus on agility and acceleration to make sure you are the fastest on the field over short sharp distances.
Saturday: Full body power + Fitness
You use your entire body for every movement you do as a footballer. Why? Because this is how you maximize power - the same applies in the gym. This session focuses on using the whole body to generate power and finishes with a more aerobically focused run.
Thursday & Sunday: Rest
Performing at your best means recovering at your best. Sunday is a complete rest day. Thursday you have the option of a recovery session if you want to keep the body moving.
